iconFor People With Really Kinky 'Ethnic' Hair - BY WILLIAM R.

For people with really kinky, curly dry ethnic hair, try this for a deep conditioner:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup bland oil (either grapeseed/almond/sesame)

Put in a little pot- heat it until warm. Apply to hair, put a plastic bag over your hair and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash and condition as usual. The result; hair feels soft and moisturized. You can forgo the bland veggie oil if you want to, but i find that it helps the honey and oil to 'flow'.

OR- you could try and investing in some jojoba oil and follow the same instructions for deep conditioning above. Jojoba oil contains the same sebellum as our skin, so it conditions without weighing hair down.

iconConditioner That Will Create Shine/Thick/Soft Hair - BY VIOLETTE

Here is a conditioner that will create shine/thick/soft hair...

Shampoo as normal.

Take 1 pint of beer (any cheap beer will do, even stale beer) and slowly pour it throughout your hair and rinse with cool (not freezing) water or slightly warm water and make sure to clean all the beer out of your hair.

You will still smell like beer afterwards so to disguise the smell, take 1 cup of Chamomile tea that has already been boiled and cooled and pour it slowly throughout your hair and let it sit for a few minutes.

Rinse with cool water.

It is important that you don't use very warm to hot water when rinsing out the beer and the Chamomile tea as you will not see the benefits of this recipe.

I use this recipe a lot and find it to work the best for my dark hair.

I used cider/vinegar rinse for my hair and found that my hair became oily and flat and it didn't clean very well.

So, try it and see if this works for you!

If you put jojoba oil in your hair you it will make your hair soft, frizzless, and shiny (only use a pearl size amount or your hair will look oily).
