Healthy
Hair - BY
WHITNEY |
First I want say that I love your
site. It's great. I wanted to give you a couple of tips.
1.) For oily hair that you don't have time to wash put some baby
powder in it and brush/comb though it but if you put too much
it will look like you have gray hair.
2.)If you wash your hair daily then only condition two to three
times a week because you don't want to add unneccessary oils
to the scalp. It causes build up and irritation.
3.)To make your hair grow faster and look healthier then first
take and egg and massage it in your hair then rinse, then take
about 3 to 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise and massage it into your
hair then rinse, after that shampoo with your regular shampoo
to get the smell out.
Don't try these if your scalp is sensitive |

Healthy Scalp - BY D.YOUNG |

Once a month, rinse hair and scalp
with vinegar before washing. It is easiest when you have someone
to do it for you, but if you do it yourself remember to keep
your eyes closed tight because the vinegar burns. The vinegar
invigorates the scalp and promotes hair growth. Wash thoroughly
to eliminate the smell. Use apricot oil as a hair moisturizer
and softener. This process works well on chemically treated hair.
In fact, I believe that it lessens the adverse impact of the
chemicals on your hair. |
Build-Up
Remover - BY JULZE |
|
If you have build-up in your
hair from hairspray, mousses, or other products, don't fret!
I have the solution to not making your hair weighed down.
Mix a half a box of baking soda
with some water to make a paste. While in the shower, wash your
hair really good, then apply the baking soda. Start at the roots
and rub in in all the way down to the ends. Make sure you get
all the hair. Leave it in for about 10 mins, and then rinse it
out really good. Now, (unless you want your hair to feel like
straw, condition it. Hope it helps!! |
Last
Minute De-Frizzer - BY SHANNON H. |

If your about to run out the door,
and notice your hair is starting to frizz, run a very small dab
of your hand lotion through your hair. This also is a life-saver
when your out and about with no hair products in sight. |
For
Those with the Thick Curly Manes
- BY MCGREW |
|
I have discovered, through much
trial and tribulation (those of you with this type of hair know
what I'm talking about), that the easiest way to deal with my
very thick and curly hair is as follows:
Wash normally then after you've
put conditioner in your hair, bend over and use your hands to
comb out your hair while it's conditioning. Once you're rinsed
and out, hold a nice, thick, dry towel around your hair for at
least 5 minutes -more if needed. Don't squeeze or scrunch!! It'll
just put the knots back in.
Now, the good part: JOJOBA OIL. While your hair is still damp
(important!!), put no more that a dime-sized bit of oil in your
hand. Rub your hands together and apply to your hair. Try to
avoid the scalp are (it'll just get oily looking faster) and
finger-comb through lightly.
Now let your hair AIR DRY ONLY -all you curly headed people know
you should have thrown out the hair dryer years ago!! You'll
have beautiful, soft, shiny curls all over the place that people
will rave over! (don't be afraid of a layering haircut either
with this method).
That's my 2-cents. I hope it helps - it sure has made my life
easier!!! |
