iconMaintaining Red Highlights - BY ABBY C
This site is awesome. I've followed quite a few of the tips that have been posted on here and they've worked wonders! Now, here's one of my own. To maintain those luscious red highlights you ladies work so hard for here's the trick:

1 cup of cranberry juice (or any berry you may have on hand)
1/2 cup of rose hips and rose petals
1 Tablespoon of orange peel (dried or fresh)
2 Tablespoons of lemon juice
5 bags of raspberry tea
1/2 cup pomegranate arils (or juice from arils)

Heat cranberry juice of medium-high heat. When juice starts to warm add the other ingredients. Bring to a simmer just before the juice starts to boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Take of heat and allow to cool. Apply to clean dry hair and let for about 30 minutes (or longer if you want more intense results. I usually let mine sit until it becomes slightly stiff). Then rinse with cool water. DO NOT wash hair right afterwards. Do this once a week and you'll have gorgeous highlights that could make even the coldest night an inferno ;)

iconHow To Make Hair Strong And Shiny! - BY PARIS W
Hey. I love this site so far, anyway, what you do for this (and I know this sounds crazy) but you get half a bottle of beer and pour it onto your head and massage only for a couple of seconds. Then, rinse thoroughly and then use your regular shampoo normally the way you would use it. Pretty soon you'll have shiny, yet strong hair if used about once a month. Enjoy!

Apply about 1 tablespoon of salt to your hair before your shower (or right after it gets wet) massage scalp and then rinse, shampoo and condition....this isn't permanent but it works for a while.
iconShiny Silky Hair - BY HALEY HENDRIXSON
O.K. This is what you do you take plastic wrap, tin foil and olive oil. First take olive oil and spread evenly over hair then take plastic wrap and spread over whole head. Next put tin foil on and take a hair dryer and blow dry keep on for about 45 min. then take off and finish drying. It will leave you with the most shiny hair and the most silky hair ever.

To get long healthy shiny hair, get lots of protein. Try soy milk, peanut butter, an avocodo, meatloaf, or a protein shake! Eat healthy.
