iconSuperior Hair Treatment - BY MEGAN V.

This is a GREAT hair conditioner, superior to all others!

  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon bath oil (scented to hide smell)
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 drops of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, whipped
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 banana (mashed)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

In one bowl, combine coconut oil, bath oil, olive oil and vanilla extract. It is important that you do this first so that the smell has time to settle. In another bowl, whip one egg until fluffy. Continue mixing on low and add milk, and water. Heat honey so it is soft and warm and then add to egg mixture. Mash avocado, banana and mayonnaise in a separate bowl until it is a mint-yellow color. Then, add egg mixture to the avocado mixture and fold them together until mixed completely. Finally, add in coconut mixture and stir in gently. Let cool in fridge for about 30-40 minutes. Put on shampooed hair and comb through and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out very well and follow with a good conditioner (to rinse out smell). Keep this concoction refrigerated and it should last at least two weeks. This should make hair shiny, soft, and silky. It will help repair broken or damaged hair and reduce frizz. Enjoy!

iconNatural Anti-Frizz - BY GABRIELLE K., SYDNEY
Instead of using mashed avocado, try using cold-pressed avocado oil. You can buy it from health food stores, in Australia it's about $12 for 200mL. Use it as a deep conditioner and sleep in it, or just comb a little bit through towel dried hair as an anti-frizz. Gives hair a natural gloss without petro-chemicals or synthetics and doesn't smell as strongly as extra virgin olive oil. Hope this is useful!
iconOily Hair - BY CTHORSERIDER
To get rid of oily hair mix 1 part lemon juice with three parts warm (not hot!) water after shampooing and let your scalp soak in it. Don't rinse it out!!!!! If you add honey it makes your hair soft and shiny.
iconCurly Hair ( Non Frizz) - BY TIFFANY

If you have curly hair that always frizzes like I do when you get out of the shower NEVER dry your hair with a blow dryer or towel, all it does is make it frizz more. Curly hair needs to "naturally" dry, if it is to wet then you can squeeze the ends of your hair with your hand, then just add whatever you usually would.

P.S. I love the site my friend showed me it and now I can't get off of it!

iconNo More Frizz! - BY LAURA B., TUSCALOOSA AL
Shower as normal, except don't rinse out your conditioner, when you get out, dampen a towel, and put in the microwave for about 3 minutes or until its steamy, wrap hair in towel and let sit. Do this over and over again as much as you want, finally rinse hair and style as usual. The hot steam opens up the pores in your hair and lets the conditioner really get in there.
