Steps for abdomen massage -
The abdomen is a soft area protecting
vital organs, so please be gentle. Fold the towel or blanket
down to a couple of inches below the navel.
1. Dim the lights and play some
soothing music. Try to make the room relaxing and calming for
your partner.
2. Apply oil, starting just
under the rib cage, working down and out towards the waist. Be
careful to keep your hands relaxed and contoured to your partner.
3. With one hand on top of the
other iron around the lower abdomen in large circles. Keep the
pressure light and even.
4. Fan your hands out and work
from the navel out tot eh waist. Slide your hands under the waist
then gently pull them back round to the front again. Repeat several
times.
5. Stroke diagonally with alternate
hands from the waist down to below the navel, first on the left
side, then on the right.
6. Stroke down from the solar
plexus to the navel, one hand behind the other, to finish off
this area.
Note: Make sure your partner
hasn't eaten for at least two hours before you give him or her
abdominal massage. The bladder should be emptied before the massage.
Abdominal massage should not
be done in general, femoral, inguinal and umbilical hernia, ulcers
of the stomach and intestines, inflammation of the uterus, bladder,
ovaries and fallopian tubes, bladder or gall bladder, kidney
stones, and pregnancy.
