- Feng Shui and the Mind
- by Jiaying Lee

* Feng Shui is traditionally
about the way in which energy flows through your environment.
This is firstly to do with the way in which the universal energy
called -CHI- is free to move in the area of your living. When
it is an harmonious flow and all things are in balance the most
amazing effects are brought into your life. Fortune smiles upon
your relationships and your health not least of all you will
attract wealth.
* Feng Shui of the mind is
a parallel universe to the external environment. Our minds are
conditioned and our behaviour follows our conditioned thoughts
and just like the home it is also a victim to clutter and its
effects.
* Clutter of the mind might
be illustrated by a cage full of birds constantly moving and
making noise but unable live as they were designed to be out
in the open in free flight. Our minds may be like this cage filled
with the buzz of constant movement and unfocused thoughts.
* In Feng Shui we set our
furnishings and colors and ornaments according to the Ba Gua
Map and then we have the powerful -CHI- present and flowing in
our environment. When this happens our lives are in the zone
of attracting the good to us. In the same way the mind like the
home must be clear of the clutter of confusion, noise and dysfunction. |
|
* To clear the mind and bring
it into focus there are is yoga, hypnotism, even drugs which
are prescribed to calm us and other numerous practises. All if
these are legitimate ways to bring the mind to quietness and
open it like a house to the universal energy of -CHI-.For the
way to fortune and health and wealth and relationships Chi-
* However Feng Shui is more
than just becalming the mind. It a positive and active to fill
the mind.It is said that - nature abhors a vacuum -
* So it is with the mind
when it is becalmed or clear we must choose what will move in
and through it for if we do not choose then random ideas will
choose it.
* Effectively we need to
run our own brain or our brain will run us with new
clutter and noise. We must choose what we allow to run through
its neural pathways.
* Our minds have many established
pathways which determine our way or responding to everyday situations.
Our mindtracks are like the pathways of a dairy herd which comes
into the shed at the same time and always via the same pathway
and always in the same pecking order. This pathway is ingrained
and worn in by constant repitition and it would be extremely
difficult for the cows to be directed on a new path no matter
how much better it might be.
* So also the established
pathways of our minds, which are our mindsets, unconsciously
control our behaviour. For example a paranoid person when greeted
may be suspicious of why you are asking while the ordinary person
will welcome your interest. Both are controlled by different
unconscious inner mindsets. These mindsets are like programs
and they are many in number inside our heads.
* The Feng Shui way is to
use any method you choose to clear the mindsets that are not
helping your life and is this is like clearing the clutter in
the house.
* The next step is to choose
positive replacements and build them in by constant usage. It
may take months to establish the new mindsets for this is no
short term fix but once you have chosen positive new paths then
the universal energy chi is attracted to your life and can enrich
you in many ways. |
