There are times we will feel a sudden pain in one of our feet. The pain will be between the 3rd and 4th toes. This pain is Foot Neuroma or as it is also known Mortons Neuroma. This is a common foot problem. When you have Foot Neuroma there will be swelling. Sometimes there will be an inflammation of a nerve ending.

The symptoms that you will experience
if you do have Foot Neuroma can be sharp pain, burning, numbness,
tingling, cramping in the front part of the foot and sometimes
there will be a lack of feeling in that part of the foot. When we experience Foot Neuroma it is because the bones of the 3rd and 4th toes are squeezing a nerve that is located between them. You will get the symptoms of Foot Neuroma after there has been significant pressure on the front of the foot. The activities that cause this type of pressure are walking, standing, jumping or even sprinting. These are high impact activities that have been known to put a high amount of pressure and stress on your feet. The other way that you can get Foot Neuroma is by wearing shoes with pointed toes and high heels. The high heels put pressure on the foot as the weight of the body is supported by the front part of your feet. As there is no other balance for the foot your body is forced to rely on the ball of the foot to balance the body while you are walking, standing or any other activity. By wearing narrow pointed toe shoes you can cause Foot Neuroma as the cramped area in the shoe forces your foot bones to clamp together. This cramped position besides being uncomfortable for you also causes Foot Neuroma as the constricted bones pinch the nerve between the 3rd and 4th toes. |

Foot Neuroma is a treatable foot
ailment that can also be prevented from occurring altogether.
The first step to curing your Foot Neuroma is to select and wear
the right shoes. The shoes that you should choose must have a
wide area for the toes and the top of the shoes must not press
down onto your feet.
You should then consider wearing an orthotic that has been designed
with a metatarsal pad. The pad will be placed behind the ball
of the foot. By having the metatarsal pad placed in this spot
the pressure on the foot is relieved as the weight on the foot
is evenly distributed throughout the foot. This position will
relieve the pain of Foot Neuroma.
As you can see Foot Neuroma is a foot condition that can be cured
with very simple steps. The main thing that is needed for your
Foot Neuroma to go away is for the pressure to be removed. Any
shoes that will cause the pain of Foot Neuroma must be avoided.
By following these simple conditions you can be free of Foot
Neuroma forever.
