Summertime is a beautiful time of year but it is also one of the harsher times for our skin. We are bombarded daily with environmental pollutants and sometimes extreme temperatures. This can wreak havoc on our skin. A herbal facial steam opens your pores, expelling any dirt and pollutants from our skin that contributes to fine lines.
Combat skin pollutants with a home Facial Herbal Steam:
Place 2 cups of boiled water in a bowl, add 5 drops of essential oil that is suited for your skin type. (see below). Drape a towel over your head like a tent and lean over the bowl. Don't put your face too close to the water a good distance is 10-12 inches away. Close your eyes and allow your skin to breathe in the beneficial oils for 5 minutes. Splash cool not cold water on your face afterwards to close the pores.
