Materials: 8" diameter clear glass
plate (or preferred size) |

Directions:
1. Wash and dry the clear plate.
2. Cut out the designs from the wrapping paper. With the plate in front of you arrange the cutouts on the back of the plate with the design facing you.
3. Spread white glue on the right side of the cutouts, and place on the back of the plate in the arrangement that is pleasing to you. Press firmly. Overlap the cutouts.
4. Now is the time to paste on the doily if you want a lace looking border. Spread glue on the right side of the doily, press firmly on the plate.
5. Take a damp cloth and cover the back of the plate with it. Using a wallpaper seam roller, work from the middle of the plate then towards the edges. Make sure to take out any air bubbles. Let glue dry.
6. Take a dry sponge brush and paint the back of the plate with two coats of paint. Allow paint to dry between coats. After the paint has dried, paint the entire back with black acrylic paint.
7. Paint with two coats of clear varnish, allow to dry between each coat.
8. Sand the edges of the plate lightly with very fine sandpaper to remove any glue or paint remnants.
**Just a note: Instead of using wrapping paper you can also photocopy photographs for a unique custom designed plate.
Cannot be used for putting food on it. Do not wash in dishwasher or hot water. To clean take a damp cloth and gently wipe. For decorative purposes only.
