| Home-Made Facial For "Old Gals" - BY EMILY G. - AUBURN, AL |
|
In a small food processor, I puree four generous slices of peeled, fresh cucumber; blend in about 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt, and about 4 drops of vitamin E oil. After washing with a gentle cleanser, I apply this mixture directly to my face for 15 to 20 minutes, 2 to 3 times a week. I have no idea why this facial works so well on my dry, aging skin (I'm hoping you might be able to explain that to me!); however, it has worked wonders. I am 52 years old. I live in a college town; and, just the other day, a woman asked me what semester I planned to start! |

| I have successfully used regular pimple cream (salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide) to remove skin tags on my neck and above my eye. Apply the cream once or twice a day just to the skin tag (it may get irritated), and in 2-10 days, it will probably fall off. I only had one that took a week to fall off, and my most recent one only took 2 days, so you never know. You can wipe the area with a wet wash cloth to see if it's ready to fall off. My doctor told me I'd have to get it taken off and that there would be a scar if he did it - I'm happy I didn't listen to him!! |
| Amazing Moisturiser - BY MICHAELA |
|
I've looked and looked for natural recipes for skin care, and I could never find one that did exactly what I wanted fast. If you have combination, oily or even normal skin, this toner and moisturiser is for you! Toner: mix equal portions of lemon or lime juice, rose water and the juice of a cucumber. Use a cotton ball to apply to your face and leave for a few minutes to dry. Then add the moisturiser over the top before going to bed. Moisturiser: Mix equal parts of avocado and macadamia oil with equal parts of rose water and orange flower water. Add a dash of lemon or lime juice and apply over toner before going to sleep. You can keep these in the fridge or out, although the toner lasts longer if kept in the fridge. Don't forget to shake the bottles before using them. |
| Acne - BY WILMA C. |

I'm 20 years of age, and still get regular breakouts, on my face, shoulders & back! I tried expensive products, pills, drinking only green tea and water, cutting out sugar, even using makeup brushes for no longer than a month and washing all sponges and brushes once a week! Nothing seemed to work, then I discovered a miracle! It costs about R10.00 (South African Rands) which is cheaper than any other facial product I've ever used, tastes disguisting the first time, but you get used to it quicly and I haven't had a breakout in two months now! Coconut oil! I just drink one teaspoon in the morning and one teaspoon before I go to bed! Now I can go on with my life without the obsession over my skin! |
| A Few More Beauty Tips - BY YVONNE M. |
|
Hey everybody, I really like this site! I tried a lot of the tips and they really worked! I decided to share some of my tips so here they are: 1. Baby oil is a great product as long as you don't over do it. One time I ran out of hair serum so I decided to use baby oil and see what would happen. I only put a few drops on my palms and rubbed it into my hair, to my surprise it worked. 2. Baby oils is also good for cleaning your ears, putting it on dry skin, especially if you have dry cracked belly buttons and dryness behind your ears. It only takes a few days to work. 3. If you get really dry red hands, put on A&D ointment and a pair of cotton socks, sleep with them on, and in the morning, you will see results. |
