Acne Treatment - BY VICTORIA, VIRGINIA |
|
I use a small
travel container and mix approximately 1/3 Hydrogen peroxide
and 2/3 Witch Hazel (I usually go to Health Store and buy a witch
hazel aloe vera liquid). Additionally I add a few drops of tea
tree oil. Always shake slightly to allow the mixture to remix
prior to each use, apply to cotton ball and tone over face with
special attention to any current outbreaks of acne. Hydrogen
Peroxide is water and oxygen and simply helps oxygenate the skin
and has a disinfecting benefit against bacteria. Tea Tree oil
has a strong anti fungal property, a few drop is plenty. Tea
Tree also helps with scar healing, It has a medicinal smell and
is not something I would apply full strength to sensitive facial
skin, so always dilute and remember to shake prior to each application
so solution can remix. Aloe and Witch Hazel both have a gentile
soothing effect to skin. I am no scientist or chemist but spend
a lot of time researching natural alternatives and this was a
mixture that seemed to work great for me. I have extremely sensitive
skin and even though this has been great for me I advise as a
good practice when trying any of these beauty tip suggestions,
to do some small test area before you go full fledge because
everyone is different. A test for this specific tip might be
a dab with the cotton ball on a specific area rather than attempting
to tone the whole face. |

Winter Dryness Cure-All!!!
BY

Invest in a good humidifier! While
you're sleeping, turn it on -- you'll see and feel a big difference
in your breathing and skin. No more dry and irritated throats,
noses or lips. You'll sleep so much easier (no coughing) and
your skin looks and feels better too. It also reduces colds.
Both my kids have one, also, and no one has been sick since we've
had Them. I bought mind 2 yrs ago for less than $40. Just remember
to throw the filter away after the season and buy a new one. |
