Wedding Favor Ideas - BY LYNN E
Hi,

I think some of your visitors planning weddings might like this idea:

I recently got married and spent months beforehand wracking my brains for a unique yet inexpensive favor for my guests. After some research I finally decided to make origami tulips. I had never done origami before but our flowers were white tulips so I thought it would be a good time to learn a new skill and also have a unique and individual favor. I checked out some books at the library and found an easy pattern for tulips. I folded over 120 tulips using tracing paper and used florist wire for the stems. Not only were the tulips a hit with the guests, but in bud vases they also did double duty as the centerpieces for the reception tables. The total cost for the supplies was about $30 (the bud vases were provided with the wedding package at the wedding/reception site)! I enjoyed making the tulips so much that I now actively pursue origami for fun.
A Theme For Weddings, Proms, etc -BY ALICE
Don't want your wedding to be "just the usual wedding?" You want to plan a fancy dinner party or prom in a rented hall that will blow everyone away? I had this idea that will be used for my school prom, and i don't know i think it would be pretty neat for a wedding as well...

Think mossy mystical forest... you know those forests with big huge trees and big huge mushrooms.... yeah... so make the color scheme dark green shiny fabric to cover tables, and the walls if its one of those halls with big curtains, and decorate with exotic flowers, and have those mushroom candles as center pieces... then for party favors, salt and pepper shakers in the shape of mushrooms or whatever... yeah.... not bad i think.....
