- Transform
Your Home, Transform Your Life!

Your home is a reflection of
your life. A healthy energy and atmosphere influences your health,
career opportunities, wealth, family relations, romantic situations,
and more. According to the principles of Feng Shuithe ancient
Chinese practice/art of placement to provide balance and harmony
within one's surroundingsthe life energy is a flow that
should easily circulate throughout your home. If it cannot, you'll
find resistance within specific aspects of your life.
|
The first step is to clear the
clutter to get rid of old energies and welcome a new and healthy
energy. Use appropriate decorative color accents to enhance your
emotions and manifest your goals while creating the atmosphere
you desire. Colors and scents strongly influence our psyche by
subconsciously triggering certain moods. For instance, how do
you feel in a room painted bright red as opposed to another one
decorated in soothing greens?
So with spring in the air and
fresh new energy knocking at our doors, it's a perfect time to
open your life to growth, new opportunities, friendships and
love...and so much more! Don't view it as a huge project to add
to your list. Make it a fun family effort where you all participate
and learn.
Clearing the clutter...it's
impossible to move when you're buried in the sand.
Do you remember playing at the
beach as a child and stacking sand on top of yourself? With each
scoop of sand, it became more and more difficult to move. This
is the kind of paralizing resistance you encounter when you don't
eliminate the old from your life. The clutter starts to collect,
making it more and more difficult to break free. Start by looking
through your closets and cabinets and get rid of anything that
is broken or not has not been used for more than a year. |

Living in color
Closely inspect each room in
your home. How do you feel? Does it need more light? Do you feel
an uplifting or a relaxing energy? If this is a room with too
much heat, you might want to consider adding "cooling"
colors like blue, green, purple or lavender. On the other hand,
if the room is humid and cold, brighten it with yellows, oranges,
and reds.
Textures are also important.
Visit local fabric stores to feel the different materials to
understand how velvet brings richness to a room, brocard brings
warmth, chiffon brings lightness, etc.
Breathe the breeze!
How would you feel if you were
trapped in a windowless room for days without any fresh, circulating
air? Energetically, this is what happens when you don't let your
home take a nice big breath! Open the windows, purchase aromatherapy
diffusers or plug-ins for each room and make your home the best
place to be. Here are some suggestions for using fragrance to
set a mood:
* Want fun? Diffuse citrus.
* Want to relax? Lavender will unwind the most stressful environments!
* Want to enhance love and create romance tonight? Ylang Ylang,
Rose, and Jasmine will transform your bedroom into a real love
sanctuary!
* Want your children have sweet dreams? Lavender with a hint
of Neroli or Roman Chamomile will take them on a flying carpet!
