As your wisdom teeth come in,
garlic's antiseptic properties can also help reduce the pain
that is associated with them pushing out through your gum line.
These same properties also make garlic a simple and effective
for regular tooth pain. Abscesses are also caused by bacteria
build up within the root cavity on the tooth. Garlic can work
to kill off this infection and help leave you pain free until
you can make it to the dentist and get a root canal
How to use garlic for tooth
pain
Garlic that has been peeled
or crushed placed directly on the spot where the pain is the
best way to benefit from this home remedy. For wisdom teeth,
place it directly between the emerging wisdom tooth and the gum
line. For a toothache or an abscess, place the garlic directly
onto the sore tooth.
For those of you who do not
like the taste of raw garlic, you can combine the garlic with
some olive oil in a dark glass jar. Let this steep for a few
days then apply the garlic infused oil to the problem tooth.
This is not going to be effective as applying raw, crushed garlic
but it still might provide you some relief.
Word of caution
While using garlic is a great
way for temporary toothaches, if the pain is lasts more than
a few days it is important to see a dentist. Bacteria from an
infected tooth can end up entering the bloodstream and may end
up being fatal if it is carried to the heart. |
