Feng Shui Rules to Live by

by Lucy Watson

Feng shui has been part of Chinese philosophy and it has also worked for people even from other continents. Most of the time, it is applied in decorating the house, arranging furniture, the bedroom, the kitchen and so much more. Feng shui rules can improve the harmony and balance inside the comforts of your own home. One basic feng shui rule is that you must keep the walkway or path to your house clean. Make sure that the grass is well trimmed, the flowers and garden well maintained. It is better if you have lights on the walkway so that your guests would see the path to your house easily during the night.

According to feng shui, this will promote and let the flow of chi enter your home. How can you apply feng shui inside the house? Well, it is easy. Keep the things organized and keep it clean at all times. If your environment is in the right order, the flow of chi would be better. It could uphold enhanced relationships and it could attract the coming of opportunities and wealth. When it comes to the office, there are feng shui rules you can follow to attain a better harmony between your employees and to uphold a better workplace. Like any establishment, the desks and tables should be placed in such a manner that there is the air of comfort and stability. This would definitely promote improved interpersonal relationships and a suitable working environment. A feng shui office does not have long corridors.

Feng shui experts say that having long corridors can make the flow of chi so concentrated in one direction only. The best solution to this is to put plants along the corridor or in along office dividers. In this way, the flow of chi is just deemed enough. Avoid placing the chairs in such a way that it faces sharp edges of cabinets and desks.

Proper lighting is also very crucial because it will let the flow of chi be constant. Poor lighting lets the positive energy be stagnant in one place. And this could lead to the creation of negative energy instead. What should be the arrangement of the furniture? The furniture like the sofa in the waiting area should not be facing any door. Moreover, if you have an office of your own, then you should know some important things. The shapes and colors affect the flow of positive energy. It is best if your office is a square. Irregularly shaped rooms are not very advisable because there could be dark corners that could lead to the creation of negative chi.

In addition, it is best if your room is not very close to the main entrance. But what if the room is already irregular in shape and situated close to the main entrance? Well, there are still solutions to that. Fortunately, there are corrective measures to cope up with these circumstances. Place plants or hang a crystal ball to properly distribute the flow of chi to the right direction.
