Okay this is
a really simple body scrub that works exactly like
the bath and bodyworks sea salt and oil scrub.
you will
need:
olive oil
brown sugar
grated orange peels
Mix all ingredients
together and voila, you can take a shower and use all over body,
and wash with warm water. It leaves towels a bit dirty but it
works great. |

I've read several suggestions
saying to use rubbing alcohol on your face - don't do this! Your
skin is much too delicate and the alcohol will totally dry out
your skin. Yes, your pores will temporarily close and the shine
will be gone, but what will happen is your skin will start to
over produce oil to compensate for the oil you stripped off!
Try this instead: 2/3 parts
witch hazel and 1/3 parts apple cider vinegar in a bottle, and
you can add a few drops of orange, lemon and lavender essential
oils. If you don't have these oils it's no problem, they don't
have to be added. However, citrus oils will help cut the oil
and the lavender is soothing to the skin and mind. Wipe face
with a cotton ball saturated with this mixture. Shake bottle
well before using. Wouldn't you rather have this delicious smelling
liquid (if you use the essential oils) on your face than rubbing
alcohol? Witch hazel is a astringent and the apple cider vinegar
will bring your skin back to its natural ph balance. After a
couple a weeks you'll notice that your face is less oily. So
stop with the alcohol! |
