Cleaning Plastic - BY BUNI S, ARKANSAS CITY, KS
A great way to quickly clean sticky greasy plastic ware (Tupperware type products) is to lay down some newspapers, place the plastic ware on it, spray with oven cleaner. Let stand for a few minutes and wash well in hot soapy water. For really tough grease, apply a second time. This really works wonderfully!!
Windows - BY ANGELA
When wiping your favorite window cleaner off the windows, use newspaper instead of towels. It really works.
Newspaper for Window Cleaning - BY DORIS C
A mixture of vinegar and water works just as well as a commercial product, usually half/ half in a spray bottle. Spray on the windows, wipe with the newspaper, and then just compost the newspaper. Cheaper, safe for those with environmental sensitivities, and it works too.
Carpet Stain Removal - BY LINDA F
Thanks for the great tips on just about everything, my tip actually came from my son-in-law, to remove stains left from just about everything (check in a hidden area first) pour a 16 oz bottle of rubbing alcohol in a 32oz spray bottle, fill with ammonia replace spray nozzle and gently shake. USE IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA!!!!!!!!!!!
"I use a personal fan to keep fumes out of my face" spray on stain, and rub with a clean dry cloth, continue until stain is well saturated and let set for a few minutes.

My dog has a medical condition that causes gastric reflux at the most inopportune time, usually when I'm on my way out the door,or late for work. And my daughter has used this method to remove juice stains that leaked from my granddaughter's bottles, and this was on a light tan carpet.

Squeaky Doors, Hinges - BY LESLEY L

I just wanted to share my little trick for squeaks...

If you happen to be stranded without any WD-40, you could always use a can of cooking spray. Simply spray the squeaky area with a quick blast of cooking spray, move the hinge back and forth to work the oil in, and voila! No more squeaks!
