My hair care tip is for dry
and frizzy hair and only has one ingredient: Olive Oil. I use
olive oil for my skin (as a lotion), lips (natural balm), hair
(leave-in conditioner), feet (during scrubs with sugar and honey),
food (salad dressing with lemon and garlic)--just about everything.
Olive oil softens the hair, makes hair shiny, and isn't greasy
when used in moderate amounts. Best of all it can keep hair moisturized
for many days.
Simply apply a moderate amount
of olive oil to towel dried hair or slightly damp hair (works
on dry hair as well, but make certain hair is clean). Take care
not to use too much oil. Work through hair, paying special attention
to the ends. Style hair as usual. Wear a silk cap at night to
keep hair from drying or breaking due to cotton pillowcases.
I don't wash the olive oil out for several days as other tips
require because I like the shine it gives my hair. If you find
that your hair has become too greasy or has a smell to it after
leaving the olive oil on your hair for some time, wash out with
your regular shampoo--it still makes your hair soft! |
