Feng Shui Tips For Better Family Life
By: Siang Kwang Foo

Tips 1:

It is possible to use feng shui to have a warm and harmonious relationship between the different members of a family. Like most feng shui tips, make it a point to make the family area of the house free of clutter and debris as it is only in places where there is no obstruction that good chi flows freely.

Any physical clutter in a room creates an obstacle in a person's mind and spirit and with its elimination, it is possible to make a family live happily together. As the living and family rooms are the most influential areas of the house, they have to be decorated with the right use of color and elements to provide the best effect and flow of chi.Avoid using high energy colors like red and orange in the family spaces as they are not in sync with members of the family. Green is the best color as it symbolizes living things, growth and stimulates the feeling to be alive in all aspects of life.

If it is not practical or needed to change the colors of the family space, you could add some indoor house plants to incorporate green in the room. Also consider using green throw pillows and other accents to create a greener atmosphere in the room. Other colors you could also use in family space are blue and black which generate happy and beneficial energy and chi.

Tips 2:

It is interesting to note that everything in life has its own corresponding element or elements related to it. Similarly, with feng shui, its corresponding elements are wood and water and this is why it has to be included in family décor as much as possible. One great way of bringing wood into your home is by framing photos in wooden frames. You could also consider placing a pretty wreath in your home to bring some of the outdoors inside. With wood element and the suggestion of bringing green into the home, you could place a small tree in your home. These trees are designed for your home and don't grown to great heights.

It is not possible to place a water fountain in the center of your home to bring water into your home. However as a mirror mimics water in feng shui, you could consider placing a mirror in your family room. It is but normal for everyone in a family to be unique and different from each other. Feng shui suggests using these differences to create a space in your home radiating positive energy to the whole family. This can be done by placing objects here that symbolize the unity of the family.

Examples of such produces are religious objects or mementos of old trips. You could also display items here that are related to the ancestry of the house. According to feng shui, all this will help induce unity and build a deep connection in a family and in the process, create a more balanced, creative and calm environment.
